The IBM 00DD546 is recorded as an FSP2 card under the internal name Gorchfock, at level 22. FSP stands for Flexible Service Processor, the embedded controller IBM builds into its servers and frames to bring the machine up, hold its configuration, monitor power and cooling and provide the path the management console talks to. It runs whether or not the main processors are running, which is why a failed service processor stops a machine from starting.
