The IBM 00E0884 is a 4-port 1Gb Integrated Virtual Ethernet card, part of the Host Ethernet Adapter (HEA) family IBM built into several Power Systems server planars to provide built-in, hypervisor-shared network ports without consuming a PCIe slot. This is a different design from pluggable PCIe Ethernet cards: an HEA is fitted to the system planar itself and its ports are shared across logical partitions by the POWER Hypervisor.
