IBM 00E1797 is a genuine IBM part held by Tech-Star under server hardware and parts. The record against it reads CRYSTAL FALLS IOC+. That is IBM internal shorthand, not a published description, and while it may mean something to an engineer who worked on the platform it does not tell us the function reliably enough to publish. The identity of the part number itself is not in doubt.

IBM’s POWER servers have carried several names over the years, RS/6000, pSeries, iSeries, System p, System i and Power Systems, but they are maintained the same way.
