The IBM 00LP740 is a genuine 32GB DDR3-1600MHz CDIMM for IBM Power8 servers (8286-41A, 8286-42A, 8247-42L). It is the mid-capacity module in the EM8-series Custom DIMM family, alongside the 16GB (EM8B, CCIN 31E8) and 64GB (EM8D, CCIN 31EA) modules.

As with its 16GB and 64GB siblings, the CDIMM form factor embeds IBM’s Centaur memory buffer chip on the module and only functions in these specific Power8 hosts.
