The IBM 00LR458 is an I/O VRM (voltage regulator module), internally referenced under the codename “CDH,” from the same general class of dedicated power-regulation cards as the processor, memory and memory-buffer VRMs elsewhere in IBM’s Power-series CEC design. Where those regulate the processor die and its attached memory buffers, an I/O VRM conditions the supply feeding the CEC’s I/O hub or fabric interface logic, keeping that domain independently regulated so an I/O-side fault does not affect processor or memory power. Tech-Star supplies this as a pull from decommissioned IBM Power equipment.
