The IBM 00P4495 is a single-port 2Gbps Fibre Channel host bus adapter built on the Emulex LP9002L chipset (Emulex model FC1020034), fitted to a 64-bit PCI-X card for IBM server systems. It provides a Fibre Channel connection between a compatible IBM host and a SAN fabric or directly attached Fibre Channel storage, and was a standard storage networking option across a range of IBM servers during the PCI-X generation. The adapter installs into a free PCI-X slot and is recognised by IBM storage management tooling as a genuine Emulex-based Fibre Channel HBA.
