The IBM 03N6658 is a Dual-Port RIO-2/HSL-2 I/O Hub, IBM feature code 1806, also cross-referenced under part numbers 39J2571, 80P3600 and 80P5478. It provides two copper Remote I/O (RIO-2) ports used to attach I/O expansion drawers to a pSeries or IBM i (iSeries) server, extending the number of PCI slots and disk bays available beyond what fits in the main system unit. It is used in IBM’s 9117/9406 570 and related p5/i5 550 and 720-class systems, where RIO-2 loops of this kind are the standard way of daisy-chaining additional I/O drawers off the CEC.
