The IBM 24R0622 is a part for machine type 2107, IBM’s DS8000 enterprise disk system. IBM’s enterprise disk systems, principally the DS8000 family under machine type 2107 and the DS6000 and DS4000 ranges before it, are built from a pair of POWER based processor complexes, host adapters facing the storage network, device adapters driving the disk enclosures behind them, and the drive modules themselves.
