The IBM 45D5318 is a Port Card Assembly, CCIN 50A2 (50A2 TRES RISER), built for IBM’s PCIe Gen1 12X I/O Drawer (feature #5877). The port card is the internal connector board the drawer’s PCIe adapter slots physically plug into, carrying signal and power between the slots and the drawer’s I/O planar. It is not itself an adapter, and it is swapped when a slot or connector on the drawer fails, rather than the adapters installed in it.
