The IBM 45D7248 is a POWER7 DDR3 memory DIMM, one of four modules that together make up IBM’s feature #5602 memory kit (a 128GB configuration built from four 32GB DIMMs running at 1066MHz). Feature #5602 was offered on the Power 770, 780 and 795 systems and can be mixed on the same processor module with the smaller #5600 and #5601 features, provided the frequency stays consistent across each four-DIMM memory controller group. IBM’s Capacity on Demand licensing model applied to this feature, so activated capacity on a used system should be checked separately from the physical memory installed. This individual DIMM is sold as a single unit rather than the full four-DIMM kit; buyers building out a #5602 configuration should order the matching quantity.
