The IBM 59H3468 is an IBM feature #6142 internal tape drive, a 4GB native DDS-2 (DAT) SCSI drive fitted as a standard internal backup device on RS/6000 system units such as the 7013. Feature #6142 drives of this generation used 4mm DDS-2 data cartridges over the system’s internal SCSI bus for scheduled backups, system-image saves and program distribution on early-to-mid 1990s RS/6000 hardware.
