Along with sibling part numbers 74Y1959 and 74Y3423, it is the DDR3 memory-expansion riser fitted to IBM’s Power 720/740 (8205-E6B) POWER7 servers, providing four additional DIMM sockets beyond the base system board’s memory capacity.
