The IBM 74Y5398 is a GX++ 12x-channel DDR dual-port InfiniBand host channel adapter, also known under the equivalent part numbers 73Y9518, 46K3937 and 74Y0532. It is the GX-bus attached InfiniBand adapter used to connect IBM POWER6 and POWER7 servers into high-speed clustering and I/O-expansion fabrics, rather than into a conventional PCIe slot, providing two 12x DDR InfiniBand ports for low-latency, high-bandwidth interconnect between systems or to external I/O drawers.
