The IBM 74Y5926 is a 10Gb Quad-Port Integrated Virtual Ethernet (IVE/HEA) Host Ethernet Adapter, CCIN 2BDC. It combines two 10GbE SFP+ ports with two 1GbE RJ-45 ports on a host Ethernet card built into IBM’s POWER7 GX bus infrastructure, providing virtualised network connectivity that multiple logical partitions can share without a dedicated physical adapter per LPAR.

This is standard integrated networking hardware for IBM’s Power 710 through 780-class systems, giving a partitioned server flexible, low-latency network access without consuming a PCIe slot. Spares are a routine requirement for restoring a system to its shipped network configuration or adding integrated 10GbE capacity to an existing chassis.
