The Marconi 1HAT60592ADT is an electrical mux card, marked SN65A-STM1, Series 3, for Marconi’s SMA range of SDH add/drop multiplexers. It multiplexes electrical circuits into an STM-1 signal within the shelf’s Series 3 mapping stage.

Marconi’s SMA family, inherited from GPT and Plessey, is a subrack of plug-in units: line termination units at the PDH rates, mapping and mux cards such as this one, optical STM interfaces, a system controller, alarm cards and power feeds. Marconi’s 2006 collapse ended factory support, so every SMA site still in service is maintained from secondary-market spares.
