The Marconi 219-0162-000 is a module for the Marconi ESR-5000/6000 routing switch platform, in the same 219- part-number block as the 24-port 10/100Base-TX expansion module and routing switch supervisor cards found elsewhere in this family.

The ESR-5000/6000 Series II is Marconi’s routing switch platform, sold under the Ericsson-Marconi brand toward the end of the product’s life, built as a chassis of routing/switching, supervisor and interface modules around a crossbar switch element. Marconi’s 2006 collapse ended factory support, so installed ESR-5000/6000 chassis are maintained from secondary-market spares.
