NEC X3354C01: Card for the NEC FOTS/FD-1840 optical transmission platform.

The NEC X3354C01 is a plug-in unit for NEC’s FOTS (Fiber Optic Transmission System) FD-1840-series optical transmission platform, SDH/PDH-generation fibre-optic transmission equipment used to multiplex and carry voice, data and alarm signalling over optical fibre links. A terminal is built from multiplexer, demultiplexer, channel, alarm and power units in a common card-cage shelf, and units are matched to the specific shelf generation and release they were built for.

NEC has not supported this FOTS generation for many years. The safest route to an exact match is the shelf and slot the replacement unit is going into.
