Newbridge 90-4909-24: electrical two-port STM-1 (155 Mbit/s) ATM interface card for the MainStreet Xpress 36170.

The Newbridge 90-4909-24 is the electrical two-port STM-1 card for the MainStreet Xpress 36170 ATM switch, catalogued across supplier lists as STM1-2 ELECT. Each port terminates an STM-1 at 155 Mbit/s over coaxial cable, and the card can be configured as an ATM user-network interface facing customer equipment or as a network-node interface facing another switch. Where a site is fibre-fed, the equivalent optical cards in the same series are used instead.

Cards from this range carry Newbridge and Alcatel markings from either side of the February 2000 takeover, and the 36170 was subsequently marketed as the Alcatel 7470 MSP. The switch is out of vendor support and is maintained from held spares. Tech-Star is UK-based and ships worldwide.
