The Nokia C111462 is a CL3TG-UA card, a clock and tone generator board for the Nokia DX200 platform. It generates the system timing clocks and the call-progress and signalling tones (such as dial, ring and busy tones) used by DX200-based core-network elements including the BSC and MSC. As a central timing and tone resource it is shared across the exchange rather than tied to a single line or trunk. The CL3TG-UA is a plug-in cartridge, not an optical-transport module, and installs in a DX200 cartridge shelf alongside the platform control and switching boards.
