The Nortel AL2012A46 is a BayStack 325-24G, a stackable Ethernet switch with 24 10/100BASE-TX ports and two built-in Gigabit uplink ports from Nortel’s BayStack 325 series. It sits below the 450 and 470 series in Nortel’s BayStack line, aimed at cost-sensitive wiring-closet deployments needing Gigabit uplink capacity without the full Layer 3 routing feature set of the higher-end models, while still supporting BayStack stacking for grouped management. It was a common edge switch in small and mid-size enterprise networks, and many units remain in active service today.
