The Plantronics SupraPlus HW251N is a monaural over-the-head corded headset top with a noise-cancelling microphone, carried under Plantronics 36832-41. The N suffix is the important one: the noise-cancelling boom rejects background speech and room noise from the transmit path, which is why it became the default specification for open contact centre floors rather than the voice-tube HW251. It terminates in a quick-disconnect connector and works through a QD amplifier such as the M12 or M22, a direct-connect cord for a specific handset, or a USB adapter for softphone use, so one headset type can cover a mixed estate.
