The Siemens S30807-Q6957-X is a CMAe clock submodule for the OpenScape Business X3R, X3W, X5R and X5W systems, the successor to the earlier CMA submodule (S30807-Q6931-X) fitted to the same product line. CMAe is a plug-in submodule providing the DECT function needed to operate cordless base stations, letting a UP0/E port run four DECT channels instead of the two the older CMA module supported. Where the original CMA required a V2 mainboard and could not be paired with a V3 mainboard, CMAe is the current replacement part specified for that role on later hardware. As a submodule it must be matched against the host board and system software version rather than fitted independently. Genuine Siemens submodules of this kind remain a routine requirement for maintaining or expanding DECT cordless coverage on OpenScape Business estates.
