The Timeplex ILP is a Digital Voice Processor Module for the Timeplex LINK/2+ time-division multiplexer system. It is a plug-in card that digitises and processes voice channels carried through the multiplexer chassis.

The ILP family includes a bandwidth-contention feature that lets individual DS-0 channels be designated as contention channels, so voice capacity can be shared dynamically with data traffic rather than being permanently reserved. This makes better use of a limited-bandwidth trunk in a mixed voice/data LINK/2+ deployment.
