The 3Com Switch 5500-EI PWR 28-Port (3CR17171-91) adds IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet to all 24 10/100 access ports of the 5500-EI 28-port switch, alongside 4 SFP Gigabit uplinks, so IP phones, wireless access points and cameras can be powered directly from the switch.

It carries the same Enhanced Image feature set as the non-PWR model, with 12.8 Gbps switching capacity, OSPF and RIP routing, Layer 2-4 QoS and 3Com XRN stacking for a resilient, single-IP-managed stack.
