The 3Com 3CXFP92 is a 10GBASE-LR XFP transceiver module designed for single-mode fibre links up to 10km at 1310nm, terminating in a duplex LC connector. It is built to the XFP Multi-Source Agreement, allowing it to operate in any MSA-compliant 10 Gigabit Ethernet switch or router slot.

The module includes Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) support, giving visibility of real-time operating parameters such as transmit/receive power and temperature, and it is a Class 1 laser product suitable for enterprise and data centre long-reach fibre uplinks between switches, routers and servers fitted with XFP cages.
