The IBM 15R6711 is a Bulk Power Regulator, BPR-MP variant, an AC-DC power conversion module used in IBM’s Bulk Power Assembly for zSeries and Power Systems high-end frames. It converts incoming AC mains into the regulated DC bulk voltage the frame distributes onward to its processor and I/O drawers, and is fitted as part of a redundant N+1 set so a single regulator failing does not interrupt frame power.
