The IBM 45D1435 is a genuine IBM Bulk Power Distributor (BPD-EZ) assembly, designated ZSERIE FC POWER PART BPD-EZ Y. It shares the EZ suffix with the Motor Drive Assembly and Bulk Power Controller parts of the zEnterprise/Power 795 era.

The Bulk Power Distributor routes the regulated DC power produced by the Bulk Power Regulators out to the individual processor and I/O drawers, sitting alongside the Bulk Power Hub and Controller in the frame’s Bulk Power Assembly.
