IBM 31P1793: 4-port 8Gb Fibre Channel device adapter for the IBM DS8000 storage family.

The IBM 31P1793 is a 4-port 8Gb Fibre Channel device adapter for the IBM System Storage DS8000 family, closely related in part-numbering and function to the DS8700 adapter 31P1798 and the DS8800 adapter 31P1802. Device adapters sit on the back end of the DS8000 controller, driving the links out to the disk enclosures and handling RAID processing, and are always fitted in matched pairs so every enclosure retains two independent paths.
