The IBM 7316TF2 is an IBM 7316 Model TF2 rack-mounted flat panel console kit, comprising a 15-inch TFT colour monitor, keyboard, rack tray and mounting brackets, occupying just 1U of a standard 19-inch rack. The monitor delivers a 1024×768 image on a 304 x 228mm viewable area, and the kit is fitted with IBM’s Space Saver 2 keyboard, the mandatory keyboard for this console when used with rack-mounted pSeries and eServer systems such as the pSeries 630 Model 6C4. An optional #4200 VGA switch lets a single TF2 console give single-point keyboard, video and mouse access to multiple servers in the same rack. IBM withdrew support for the 7316-TF2 at the end of 2019, and data centres still running it rely on the secondary market for working consoles when a monitor or keyboard fails.
