The IBM 94Y8250 is a 2500W hot-swappable AC power supply for the IBM Flex System Enterprise Chassis, also listed under the companion part number 94Y8251. It slots into one of the chassis’s power bays and, working alongside its sibling units, delivers redundant, load-balanced power to every compute node, switch and storage module fitted in the chassis, with 80 PLUS Platinum efficiency and hot-swap replacement so a single unit can be pulled and refitted without taking the chassis down.

Flex System chassis remain in service across a wide range of blade-style deployments, and a matched power supply is the standard way to restore N+1 or N+N redundancy after a unit failure or to add capacity as more nodes are populated. Confirm your chassis power domain configuration before ordering, since Flex System supports mixed voltage and redundancy modes.
