It provides two independent 320MB/s SCSI channels through dual internal 68-pin connectors and dual external VHDCI ports, letting one card attach both internal disk/tape and external SCSI devices at full Ultra320 throughput. The card is a 64-bit, 3.3V, PCI-X bus-mastering adapter and is bootable, so it can also host the system’s boot disks rather than just providing additional storage bandwidth.
