The Cisco FPNM-2SR-10G-BP is a FirePOWER network module providing two 10 Gigabit Ethernet SR (short-reach, 850nm multimode) fibre ports with built-in hardware bypass, for Cisco Firepower appliances that accept FPNM-series network modules. The hardware bypass function keeps traffic flowing through the two ports even if the host appliance loses power or fails, which is important for inline intrusion-prevention or firewall deployments where the module sits directly in the traffic path and cannot become a single point of failure.
