The NetApp X515A-R5 is an 855W power supply unit for the FAS2050 storage system. It is a hot-swappable module fitted in a redundant pair, each supply rated to run the fully populated chassis on its own so that a failed unit can be exchanged while the system stays in service. The FAS2050 is a 3U entry-level platform combining controllers and twenty disk bays in one enclosure, and the 855W rating covers that combined load, which is why the supply is specific to this model rather than shared with the smaller FAS2020. Cooling fans are integral to the module, so a fan failure is reported as a power supply fault and is corrected by replacing the complete assembly.
