The Sonus CNA20 is a eight-port E1 rear adapter with 120 ohm connections for the Sonus GSX9000 media gateway. It presents the physical E1 interfaces for the circuit network server in the matching front slot. The 120 ohm rating means balanced twisted-pair cabling; a site cabled with 75 ohm coaxial needs the coaxial variant instead.

GSX9000 gateways bridged TDM trunks to packet networks and stay in service where interconnect has not been fully migrated. Sonus Networks is now Ribbon Communications, following the 2017 merger with GENBAND.
