Sonus CNS20: Eight-port E1 circuit network server for the Sonus GSX9000 media gateway.

The Sonus CNS20 is a eight-port E1 circuit network server for the Sonus GSX9000 media gateway. It terminates eight E1 trunks and hands the channels to the packet side of the gateway, the European counterpart to the T1 variants in the same range. Like every server module in the chassis it is paired with a matching rear-panel adapter.

GSX9000 gateways bridged TDM trunks to packet networks and stay in service where interconnect has not been fully migrated. Sonus Networks is now Ribbon Communications, following the 2017 merger with GENBAND.
