The Huawei 030EPQ is an SSN3SL16A single-port STM-16 optical interface board (SL16A) for the OptiX OSN series SDH/MSTP transmission platforms. It receives and transmits one STM-16 optical signal at 2.5 Gbit/s, performing optical-to-electrical and electrical-to-optical conversion between the line and the cross-connect matrix, along with SDH overhead processing and multiplex section protection.

The board is used in the OptiX OSN 1500, OSN 2500, OSN 3500 and OSN 7500 equipment, where it provides a single high-capacity STM-16 line interface for metropolitan and backbone SDH transport. It is a legacy component of Huawei’s established SDH transmission portfolio and remains in service across many carrier and enterprise networks. Available from Tech Star as new or refurbished stock.
