The Nokia 472109A is the ESMB, a Flexi Multiradio System Module for GSM/EDGE base stations, supporting up to 18 TRX. It combines GSM/EDGE baseband, BTS software hosting, an integrated transport unit and power distribution in a single module, and can be chained with a further ESMB or ESMC to expand a site up to 36 TRX per BCF. The integrated transport offers multiple backhaul interfaces including E1 (symmetrical and unsymmetrical), T1, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and Flexbus, plus OBSAI connectivity to radio units and 12 alarm inputs with 6 control outputs. Within the Nokia Flexi Multiradio platform the ESMB provides the GSM/EDGE system and transport engine for the radio site. It is supplied refurbished.
