Nokia 472059A Optical Transport Telecom System Card / Module

The Nokia 472059A is an ESMC, a Flexi Multiradio System Module used at the core of Nokia Flexi base transceiver stations. It provides the central baseband processing, system control and transport for the BTS, supporting a capacity of up to 36 GSM/EDGE TRX. The module carries the base station operations and maintenance functions, including radio software and configuration management, alarm handling and recovery, and reference clock management.

An integrated transport unit provides the physical transmission interfaces, offering several network alternatives including E1, T1, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet and Flexbus, so the system module can connect the BTS directly to the mobile backhaul network. The ESMC sits alongside the Flexi RF modules and belongs to the same system-module family as the 18 TRX ESMB variant. Supplied as a refurbished unit with warranty, it is a cost-effective spare for maintaining, expanding or repairing installed Nokia Flexi Multiradio base stations.
