The Huawei WD23UMPTB3 is a UMPTb3 (Universal Main Processing and Transmission) board, a main control unit for Huawei BBU3900 and BBU3910 base band units. The UMPT manages configuration, device and performance monitoring and signalling for the base station, processes signalling and manages resources for the other boards in the BBU, and provides USB, transmission and maintenance ports for backhaul, automatic software upgrade and LMT/MAE-based maintenance. As the b3 variant it is one of several UMPT models used across GSM, UMTS and LTE radio access technologies, occupying the BBU main control slot. It is among the most widely deployed BBU boards because of its multi-RAT support. Supplied refurbished, the WD23UMPTB3 is a direct-fit spare for maintaining or expanding installed Huawei distributed base stations.
