The 3Com 3C17302 is a SuperStack 3 Switch 4250T, a fixed-configuration switch with forty-eight autosensing 10/100 copper ports for desktop and workgroup attachments plus two autosensing 10/100/1000 copper uplink ports for Gigabit backbone or server connections, giving 50 ports in total. It has a 13.6 Gbps switching capacity and forwards up to 10.1 million packets per second.

It combines wire-speed Layer 2 switching with straightforward installation, supporting IEEE 802.1d Spanning Tree, 802.1p Layer 2 QoS/CoS prioritisation and 802.1Q VLANs. Resiliency features include Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol and link aggregation on the two Gigabit uplink ports, with an optional redundant power supply, and it shares the standard 1U rack-mountable Switch 4200 family footprint.
