The Huawei WD22GTMU1 (internal code 030HNK) is a GTMU (GSM Transmission & Management Unit) main control card for Huawei’s BBU3900/BBU3910 baseband unit, the core control board of Huawei’s BTS3900 GSM base station platform. The GTMU controls and manages the entire base transceiver station in GSM mode: it runs the fault, configuration, performance and security management systems for the site, monitors the fan and power modules, generates and distributes the base station’s reference clock, and provides the CPRI ports used to communicate with the RF modules. It also provides an Ethernet port for local operation and maintenance and a USB port for software upgrades. As the main processing and transmission unit, a working GTMU is required for a BTS3900 GSM cabinet to operate.
