The Nortel DM1401104 is a Contivity 2700 VPN switch, supporting up to 2,000 concurrent VPN tunnels and fitted with three PCI expansion slots for additional interface or encryption-acceleration modules, positioned above the smaller Contivity 251 in Nortel’s Contivity range.

Nortel’s Contivity VPN switch range remains deployed for site-to-site and remote-access VPN termination in networks that have not yet migrated to a newer platform, and genuine units and spares are still sought to keep an existing deployment running or to add capacity.
