Cisco LLC6X09-EMS-LIC enterprise networking (router/Catalyst switch/UCS families) Datacentre Switch

The Cisco LLC6X09-EMS-LIC is a software license enabling the RMON (Remote Network Monitoring) agent on Catalyst 6009/6509-class Catalyst 6000-series switches, part of the enhanced management software (EMS) licensing Cisco sold separately from the base IOS image for this platform generation. The license activates the switch’s onboard RMON probe functionality, letting network management stations poll the switch directly for detailed traffic statistics, alarms and packet-capture data without a separate standalone RMON probe. It is a software entitlement rather than a physical component, and is ordered to add RMON capability to a Catalyst 6000-series switch that does not already have it licensed, or to restore licensing on a chassis being redeployed. Specifiers should confirm the exact Supervisor Engine and IOS release in use before ordering, since RMON licensing on this platform generation is version-specific. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) stocks and supplies these legacy Cisco license SKUs to support ongoing network maintenance projects.
