The Cisco N10-E0080 is an 8-port 4Gb Fibre Channel expansion module for the UCS 6100 Series Fabric Interconnect, adding native FC uplink ports to a 6120XP or 6140XP chassis for connecting the UCS domain directly to an FC SAN fabric rather than routing storage traffic over FCoE or iSCSI alone. It is a field-installable expansion module fitted into one of the fabric interconnect’s expansion module bays, and the exact port count and speed available depend on which fabric interconnect model and firmware version it is fitted to. This module is specific to the first-generation UCS 6100 Series and is not compatible with the later 6200/6300 Series fabric interconnects, which use a different expansion module form factor.
