Nortel NTDK21AA (telecommunications transmission and networking portfolio) Telecom System Card / Module

The Nortel NTDK21AA is a 32MB software daughterboard for the Small System Controller (SSC) card on Meridian 1 Option 11C systems, one step down in capacity from the NTTK13AA (48MB) and one step up from the smaller boards used on the earliest Option 11 releases. It carries the system software image the SSC card boots and runs from, and this specific 32MB variant is compatible with software releases from 22.08D through to 23.47, the release band that Option 11C systems typically ran before the larger Release 25/Succession 3 upgrades that require the higher-capacity NTTK13AA or NTDK81 (40MB) boards instead. It fits directly onto an existing SSC card rather than replacing it, and is a routine spare for engineers maintaining an Option 11C system at its current release level or carrying out a software upgrade within the supported range for this capacity.
