Nortel NT0H03DB: OM 5200 OCLD 2.5Gbit/s DWDM transponder, Band 4 Channel 2.

The Nortel NT0H03DB is an OPTera Metro / OM 5200 OCLD (Optical Channel Line Deployment) card, a 2.5Gbit/s DWDM transponder tuned to Band 4, Channel 2 of the ITU grid. It converts a client-side optical or electrical tributary onto a specific DWDM wavelength for transport over the shared fibre pair, alongside the other channel cards fitted in the same OM 5200 shelf. Band and channel are fixed at the card, so replacement stock has to match the wavelength plan already running on site rather than being interchangeable between channels. The OM 5200 platform was Nortel’s metro-reach DWDM system and a number of rings built on it are still in service.
