The ADVA 63205406 is a WCM module for the ADVA FSP 2000. WCM stands for WDM Channel Module: the transponder card that takes a client signal and converts it onto a specific WDM wavelength for transport across the line fibre.

The FSP 2000 is ADVA’s Fibre Service Platform, a WDM system built for enterprises and service providers that need to multiplex, transport and protect data, storage, voice and video traffic over shared fibre. It supports up to 64 DWDM channels alongside CWDM and TDM working. WCM cards form the transponder layer of that system, with one card per client service, and the wavelength is fixed by the card rather than selected in software.
