Alcatel-Lucent 3HE01170AA: 400G Switch Fabric Module 2 (SFM2) for the 7750 SR service router platform.

The Alcatel-Lucent 3HE01170AA is a Switch Fabric Module 2 (SFM2), rated at 400 Gigabit capacity, for the 7750 Service Router platform, identified on Alcatel-Lucent’s own labelling as 7750-SR-SFM2-400G. The SFM2 provides the switching fabric that carries traffic between a 7750 SR chassis’s line cards, working in a redundant pair alongside the chassis’s control processor hardware to keep the router forwarding traffic if one fabric module fails. It is the higher-capacity fabric generation used on 7750 SR chassis upgraded beyond the original 200G SF/CPM boards, and is fitted when a deployment needs more inter-card bandwidth or when restoring fabric redundancy after a fault. Confirm the exact 7750 SR chassis model and existing fabric generation before ordering, since fabric modules are chassis- and slot-specific. Tech-Star (UK-based, shipped worldwide) supplies 7750 SR switch fabric hardware to support ongoing service provider network maintenance projects.
