The Alcatel-Lucent 3HE11316AA is an XCM-14s (XMA Control Module) for the Nokia/Alcatel-Lucent 7750 SR-14s service router. The XCM combines the control-plane processor and switch fabric for the SR-14s chassis and carries two bays for XMA or XIOM interface modules, delivering up to 9.6 Tbps of slot switching capacity. It runs the router’s control functions, including routing protocols, system management and chassis supervision, while providing the high-bandwidth fabric that interconnects the line cards. The 7750 SR-14s is part of Nokia’s high-capacity SR-s Service Router family, deployed by service providers and large enterprises for IP/MPLS edge and core routing, mobile backhaul and business VPN services.
