The 9620L pares back the 9620’s feature set to a lower price point while keeping the same physical footprint and button layout as the rest of the 9620 family.

Avaya’s 9600 series succeeded the earlier 4600 series as the standard desk phone for Definity/Communication Manager-based systems, and firmware/provisioning is generally managed centrally from the call server rather than being phone-specific, so a used handset usually just needs registering against the target system.
